July 18, 2019: Advanced Component Testing was the first in the world and is still the only U.S. electronic component test lab* to have earned ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for AS6171 test methods. Our ANAB certification earned in February 2019 attests to our competency with respect to 13 different categories of tests to AS6171 (as well as AS6081, MIL STD and IDEA-STD-1010B) test methods. With ACT, there’s no wondering whether or not we really have the expertise to test to AS6171 methods because we’re not only accredited for it, we’ve already been providing this service to several major aerospace primes.

ACT has studied and practiced the methods, secured the equipment and passed the ANAB audit to ensure that we fully support our customers’ AS6171 compliance requirements at the earliest possible date. It is these actions by our management and staff that have enabled us to be first to market with this credentialed AS6171 capability. This year, the staff at ACT has already performed SAE AS6171 level testing on capacitors and microcontrollers for several major aerospace primes.
