AUGUST 2019 – Advanced Component Testing is happy to announce that Steven Pomilio has become our new Director of Engineering. Steve is an electrical engineer who has earned the respect of the ACT staff by working closely with them as a software engineer on numerous projects over a six-year period.

In fact, Steve played a leading role in several of ACT’s more recent advancements. Not only did he write the software that automatically records data that used to be manually notated, he also created the applications to control and thus automate electrical testing via ACT’s recently acquired, legacy HP8200. With his trademark can-do attitude, Steve is now focusing on accelerating the testing process while maintaining and even improving accuracy. Continue reading

ACT is First and only American Lab Accredited for AS6171 Testing

July 18, 2019: Advanced Component Testing was the first in the world and is still the only U.S. electronic component test lab* to have earned ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation for AS6171 test methods. Our ANAB certification earned in February 2019 attests to our competency with respect to 13 different categories of tests to AS6171 (as well as AS6081, MIL STD and IDEA-STD-1010B) test methods. Advanced Component Testing’s Latest ISO 17025 Accreditation Covers Extended AS6171 Methods

RONKONKOMA, NY:  February 13, 2019Advanced Component Testing (ACT) has upgraded its ISO 17025 accreditation to incorporate the full suite of AS6171 test methods, including SEM analysis. This two-year certification is a result of an audit by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) late last year during which ACT staff demonstrated their ability to perform 13 different categories of tests to AS6171, AS6081, MIL STD and IDEA-STD-1010B test methods.
