Certification Now Covers AS6171, AS6081, MIL STD and IDEA-STD-1010B Test Methods
Advanced Component Testing (ACT) has upgraded our ISO 17025 accreditation to incorporate the full suite of AS6171 test methods. This two-year certification is a result of an audit by the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) late last year during which ACT demonstrated our ability to perform 13 different categories of tests to AS6171, AS6081, MIL STD and IDEA-STD-1010B test methods.
As per the ISO/IEC 17025 certificate, ACT has proven competent to perform detection of suspect/counterfeit parts to AS6171 and AS6081 methods. This includes the process of inspecting the surface texture of a device with a high powered scanning electron microscope (SEM). The ability to execute a comprehensive range of inspections and tests at the Ronkonkoma facility enables us not only to ensure that each test meets our high standards but also enables us to offer these services at a better rate.
Whether or not an organization specifically requires this certification, the fact that Advanced Component Testing has earned it is a key indicator that we have the expertise to fully comply with customers’ internal and flow down requirements.
